1. Why asking? Who cares? What's the use of that info?
2. I believe it was Swissair Flight 111 that exploded in flight in 1998 off the coast of Canada. It took a long time to recover and assemble the pieces so the actual investigation could begin.
3. You are probably referring to EgyptAir flight 990 which crashed into the sea off Nantucket, Massachusetts. That was pretty mysterious. The copilot, a Muslim, may have decided to sacrifice himself to kill some Israelis; or, they forgot to oil the stabilizers.
