how long does a person have to make restitution after crashing your automobile with their automobile?

- There is no set time limit. They may never pay anything.
- Is there insurance involved here? Start the ball rolling by contacting your insurance company if you have full coverage. They can handle the claim and subrogate against the other person, insurance or not, to get the money returned. You would have to pay your deductible, but it would get your car fixed. If no insurance, get the estimates for your repairs. If under $5000.00 check out small claims court to file for a judgement. Most people will not step forward because they do not have the kind of money laying around to fix someone else's car. Good luck.
