what is needed when a person has a personal injury claim & is seeking future loss of earnings?

i damaged my knee a few years ago and am not able to work as a tiler like i had trained for,i have a lower paid job now.my knee is still giving me problems.my solicitor says every thing is going fine,but sometimes i wonder,do they just tell us what they think we want to hear.

1. "my solicitor says" --- you have hired an attorney. You will be paying him a very very large part of any settlement you get. (33%-50%). Ask him.
