Strange e-mail... new scam?

I recieved an e-mail form a place in Africa about the contents of a bank account. The account in question belong to a plane crash victim that had no next of kin. (yeah right) This happened to my friend too. It this a new scam and how did the person come by my e-mail address?

2. Yeah, just a twist on the Nigerian bank scam or such. Your email is available from so many places for spamming, it isn't even funny! Report and delete!!
