Crash Victims Info

If you go off a 500 ft+ cliff in an automobile going 60-80 mph what are the odds you would survive the crash?

Just curious.

  1. one in a million
  2. I think if a person ina car fell from that height while going 1 mph their odds of survival would be very slim if any. Think of it this way, if you hit a wall head on at 30 miles per hour, that's like having a car dropped off of a 4 story building head first. Now think of a car starting from 0 mph falling off a cliff that is 500 feet up......
  3. o dumb phucck
  4. I am not gonna be the one to test that for a percentage thats for sure.
  5. I'll offer 3:1 on not a chance. Newton's law states that gravity pulls at 9.7meters/second/second which without getting into a lot of math, would mean that the force of impact when multiplying the acceleration of gravity times the distance traveled and again by the velocity of the vehicle originally means that the only way one would get out would be in a hefty bag.
  6. Very good If you jumped out of the car wearing a parachute.
