what do you need to do in order to become a flight attendant? and safest airline?

i figure i would have to learn some different language's.. but other that that, what training or college so anything else do i need? also, is there many plane crashes? what are the odds?(NOT to car crashes) AND whats the safest airline???

Languages do help,but you also need to be smart,slim, attractive and be able to work with the stroppy public.Just watch Airline on tv or any of those programs.It is all so true.Travel experience goes down well as does confidence.You have to be able to swim and work as a member of a team.All you need to do is apply to all the airlines and they will all send you application forms as now is the time they are recruiting.Be careful working as cabin crew is a life changing experience and the job is very incestuous but it is the best job in the world.The only airline I would not work for are Russian ones.Good Luck.
2. Which airline is the safest may change from year to year. They all need customers too much to be all that bad. I would talk to employees about how HAPPY they are with their jobs. Contact the airlines themselves for their requirements, they will be glad to tell you all about it. Languages will help with international airlines.
3. For starters you can attend a accredited Flight Attendant school. After that pretty much all you have to do is find an airline willing to put you in there own job training program and go from there. Secondary languages would be a bonus but not a requirement. As far as plane crashes, the odds are pretty good. Air travel is one of the most safest modes of transportation available. I believe the latest stat was 1 in 10 million for death by plane accident. compared to Trains which is 1 in 400,000. For the Safest airline, data only through 2005. Both South West and American West have yet to have any fatal accidents on any of there Flights.
